I have been fasting from meat for about a month now–my body feels at it’s best and my spirit renewed. I am not sluggish or tired which normally occurs after I eat meat. I am not saying that I will be a vegetarian forever however I do feel a difference in my body and my waistline!! TOOT TOOT!
And with fasting sometimes you feel like your run out of options on what to eat. But for some odd reason, this week I have been addicted to Hummus! I normally make my own but with a busy week , I bought (4) Sabra Hummus with Pretzels To Go !
Here is what the packaging looks like, just in case your interested in trying it out. I actually have eaten it for breakfast everyday this week. It’s a delightful little something that comes with a side of garlic breath!
Facts about Hummus:
Hummus is high in iron and vitamin C and also has significant amounts of folate and vitamin B6. The chickpeas make it a good source of protein and dietary fiber; the tahini consists mostly of sesame seeds, which are an excellent source of the amino acid methionine, complementing the proteins in the chickpeas.
I hope you try this as a snack or if you’re in the mood for something weird, have it for breakfast!
